Computer Connection Institute (PSKT01) Sialkot, organized its annual Sports Gala on 21st November, 2019 at VIP Ground Sialkot on a beautiful cloudy day with perfect temperature for outdoor games. After hectic back to back assignments and academic activities students were looking forward for some recreation and break from study schedule. Students showed interest and participated in large numbers. There was a gathering of more than 600 students with fairly large number 200 female students. Faculty of both the Campuses put in hard work to arrange transportation for Female students, reservation of Sports Ground, different sports activities and equipment. Busses were arranged to transport females to the sports facility. Staff and organizers arranged different sports activities. Female students participated in competitions like Spoon Race, Water straw competition, Tug of War, Goal Gappa competition, Cold drink competition, Needle competition, Arm Wrestling, Mehndi Competition and Musical chairs. The students who didn’t participate in activities supported their favorite candidates and enjoyed walking and entertaining themselves in small groups.
Sports for boys included Cricket, Relay Race, 400 meters, Sprint Race, Sack Race Tug of War, Arm wrestling, Balloon competition, Water Straw Competition and Push-Up Competition. Cricket Tournament became the center of attraction of this mega event. The final match was played between “Kashmir Lions” & “VU Royals”. Audience witnessed close competition but "Kashmir Lions" were Fall 2019 Champions. Besides the games, Dance and singing competition added to the enjoyment. Light delicious lunch was served by campus.
At the end of the ceremony, CEO Sohail Amir Khan distributed shields among winners. Organizers of the event were awarded certificate of appreciation. CEO appreciated the work put in by the Faculty and Staff of both the Campuses make the event successful and enjoyable.
Annual Sports Gala is a welcomed event when students and faculty get to together enjoy and relax from study schedule. It builds sportsman spirit and take them away from daily routine. It provides excellent opportunity to show their talent and boosts their confidence level. At the end of the day, students departed with smiling faces. It was a day full of entertainment, comradeship, enthusiasm and memories to cherish.
